How points work
Every approved contribution earns points under this published rule. Points record your contribution. They have no monetary value, cannot be transferred and are not a crypto-asset.

Local chapters
A chapter is a group of volunteers who learn and act together where they live: stargazing, cleaning a beach, measuring light pollution, teaching the free courses. Chapters are welcome everywhere.
Chapters and contributors never collect or receive money for Local Solar System, and never ask anyone for crypto. The only way to donate is our donation gateway.
Paid work
Staff and bounties are paid only from the approved budget, under written agreements, and every payment appears on the Transparency page. Points are never converted into pay.
