Makemake is one of the largest known Kuiper belt objects. Its surface is covered in frozen methane, which makes it highly reflective.
A small moon was discovered in 2016. Its mass is less well known than Pluto’s or Eris’s, and the value in the data table is JPL’s current estimate.
