Who is paid, and why
Most of the help the Local Solar System Foundation receives is voluntary, and volunteers are never paid. Staff and contractors are paid only because their technical skills are highly specialised, and service providers such as hosting, software, legal and compliance services charge for what they provide. That money comes from the approved budget, which the founders generally pay themselves, as they have since the project began in 2017. Payments are made under written agreements and are listed on this page. Contribution points are never converted into pay.
